In the quarterfinals, the famous Tick was missing in the final spurt after he was down 1-2 against the Russian-born Slovakian Akhsarbek Gulaev. But Gulaev defended the narrow lead until the final whistle and thus prevented the DRB wrestler from reaching the semi-finals. In the semi-finals, the Kahnt conqueror had to accept a defeat and therefore missed the final and it was no longer possible for Lucas Kahnt to advance through the hope round to the small final. Nevertheless, a great tournament performance for the Greiz native at his first international tournament in men’s wrestling. Kahnt trains at RSV Rotation Greiz and in Leipzig with Zsombor Gulyas.
