GREENSBORO | Direct flights to New York resume

Travel restrictions are being relaxed in the United States as COVID-19 vaccines become more widely distributed and Greensboro is experiencing the effects.

Starting in June, direct flights from New York to Greensboro will begin again, according to officials at Piedmont Triad International Airport (PTI).

PTI passengers will be able to fly directly to LaGuardia Airport on both Delta and American Airlines. American Airlines nonstop flights will resume on June 3, while Delta flights will resume on June 5, airport officials said.

LaGuardia Airport previously cut flights in and out of New York City due to the coronavirus. The travel industry experienced a major drop in business at the beginning of the pandemic.
