Vegetables and flowers expensive and scarce due to declining production

Maasdijk – It is far from winter, but growers of flowers, tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers are already groaning under the rising gas prices. “The government must intervene, because you cannot grow for this,” warn greenhouse horticulturists about the costs. Either way, the consumer will notice. “Empty shelves threaten and prices for the tomato, cucumber or the bunch of flowers will rise sharply.”
