Worried about the “genocidal campaign” waged against the Uighurs, a Muslim minority in China, the Green Party of Canada proposes nothing less than to hold the Beijing 2022 Winter Games in Canada.

“It would be a Herculean task, but it deserves to be studied. These are the kinds of creative solutions for which Canada was recognized and can be recognized again. About 20 personalities and politicians from all parties represented in the Commons signed an open letter on Saturday in which they urged the IOC not to organize the Games in China.
