TRIBUNNEWS.COM – Green mold detected in Covid-19 sufferers could increase the risk of death in some high-risk patients, experts say Mirror.
First case Aspergillosis registered in India Last June 16 in a man who recovered from a Covid-19 infection who later had to be rushed to the hospital.
After battling Covid-19, the 34-year-old man started suffering from nosebleeds and a high fever.
It was initially suspected that he had black fungus.
However after the examination, the man was later diagnosed green mushroom.
Aspergillosis is a fungal infection caused by Aspergillus, a common fungus that can be found both indoors and outdoors.

Most people can inhale Aspergillus spores without becoming sick.
But the fungus can cause health problems such as allergic reactions, lung infections and infections in other organs.
Scientists at Woon Chong of Albany Medical Center (WCAMC) in the State of New York have now found that such conditions have occurred in 13.5 percent Covid-19 patient who are hospitalized.
They looked at 19 studies from around the world and found 1,421 Covid-19 patient associated with pulmonary aspergillosis (CAPA).
