“Green Movement” will not appear together with PP and DB in the next elections. “New agreements are concluded for all elections. Our decision is that we will appear in a format different from the current one. It is key for us to defend reforms and democratic principles”. This was explained to BNR by Toma Belev, co-chairman of “Green Movement”.
“There is no significant progress in the set priorities. We had to make real positive changes in the field of the environment, the inclusion of citizens in the decision-making process, the sustainable energy transition and the increase of justice in society”.
“The decision of the National Council is to run independently or in a different coalition format in the upcoming elections. It’s about both choices. We are in different political families. It is logical to seek representation in this key election for Europe”.
PP and DB have been informed, Belev said in the “Nescho more” program. “They reacted normally. We are democratic parties. It is important that all citizens are represented in both the European and national parliaments”.
In “Green Movement” there was a poll of all members, and a discussion was held. The decision was not unanimous. “But traditionally we don’t have unanimous decisions.”
“Green Movement” nominated three deputies to the 49th Parliament – Daniela Bozhinova, Vasil Todev and Vladislav Panev.
