Both of you have reason to be happy: Christian Leutenegger, the new head of construction at Rapperswil-Jona and Stojan Banjanin, operations manager of the municipal wastewater treatment plant (ARA). Almost 90 percent of the votes cast (8409 yes to 952 no votes) were marked with a yes on yesterday’s voting Sunday: a yes to the construction loan of around 8.8 million francs for structural measures at the ARA. With the loan, the city can on the one hand expand the facility in accordance with the latest provisions of the Water Protection Ordinance.
