Jerusalem (AFP) – Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett announced on Sunday that all Israelis over the age of 60, and medical personnel, will be able to benefit from a fourth dose of covid-19 vaccines, in full increase in cases related to the omicron variant. .
During a press conference devoted to the pandemic, Bennett said that the Ministry of Health had given its agreement for this fourth dose, two days after it had been administered to vulnerable people.
“The omicron wave is here and we must protect ourselves,” Bennett declared.
Following last summer’s booster campaign, authorities gave the green light on Thursday for the fourth dose for immunosuppressed people.
