The Bremen Latin information team had to survive a moment of shock in the preliminary round, but in the end the world champion got the number one seven times. Bremerhaven came third.

The shock was deep for a moment on Saturday evening in the Nordheidehalle in Buchholz. The late information of the Bremen Green-Gold Club was dancing the Wanderroundabout in the preliminary round, one of the highlights of the choreography “Freedom and Peace”, when Tabea Horstmann lost her footing during a quick turn and slipped away.

Of all people, one of the most experienced dancers in the Bremen team slid a bit across the dance floor, but precisely because she was so experienced, she caught herself quickly. “Keep going!” she called to the others.

“We gave the answer in the final”

You rarely see mistakes like this at the Bremen Green-Gold Club, but they also happen to a 13-time world champion.

Things like that just happen. But she handled it professionally and caught herself very quickly. And in the final we gave the answer. That was finally an absolutely flawless run again.

The GGC formation left the floor after the preliminary round and then it was time to take a deep breath, collect oneself and focus fully on the final round of the best six formations – which the Bremen team reached despite the slip-up. After all, Green-Gold dances by far the most demanding choreography in the field of eight Bundesliga teams.

And they fully lived up to this claim in the final round. The Bremen team swept across the floor with a world-class performance and gave the judges no leeway with their furious performance that evening: They had to score first place seven times and they did.

While the dancers from the Green-Gold Club were already happily hugging each other, the spectators were waiting eagerly to see who would line up behind the Bremen team and how.

And here too the judges were in complete agreement: host Blau-Weiss Buchholz received second place seven times and, after second place at the German Championships and a strong fourth place at the World Cup, underlined its position as the second force in German late information sports.

TSG Bremerhaven danced to third place with “Top Gun”, and here too the ranking was very clear with six third places and one fourth place.

In both danced rounds there was a clear difference in performance between Buchholz and Bremerhaven and, driven by the home crowd, Blau-Weiss brought two very well danced rounds with a lot of momentum to the dance floor. The second Bundesliga tournament will take place on January 27th and will be hosted by TSG Bremerhaven.
