Green Day and Sum 41 at Rock for People did not deny resources

The program of the final day also brought other interesting names. The Faim brought a decent batch of guitar pop from the opponents. The main character was the vocalist Josh Raven, who tossed the raven’s mane and at the same time managed to pull the audience to a strong response with his mercury-like movement.

The British-Filipino singer and guitarist Beatrice Laus, boasting the fighting name Beabadoobee, presented the melancholic songwriting very rawly. In her music it was possible to hear the influences of The Cranberries or Alanis Morissette, but also the early The Cure.

New Yorkers Two Feet, their compatriots Weezer and British Don Broco have shown that crossing different musical styles is not only fashionable, but can also be highly functional. But when it can. Canadian-American singer Grandson distributed the audience the most of all. Although the themes of his texts are rather serious and politically colored, he was able to lighten the atmosphere with an animal speech. The mixture of rap and crossover he gave for the better seemed so emotional that people forgot what his songs were all about and fell into general merriment.

Pardubická Vypsaná marker kept the home battalion very high. She played songs at the fan’s request and it was a good tactic. Undoubtedly, the Dirty Blondes matched her energetic Dana Yousifová in the deployment, and the Prague Burlesque Show, which introduced the audience to the world of the erotic stifling of pre-war cabaret and dance halls, should also be mentioned.

The Canadian band Sum 41 presents, without insult, Green Day in a small release. This idea was also confirmed by the subsequent symbolic confrontation. Her set was not bad, and the stage presentation sounded decent. The particularly huge head of the devil on the scene in the red haze looked impressive, and Derick Whibley is undoubtedly a good frontman. Nevertheless, the band lacked the notorious little bit to fully compete with its more famous colleagues.

Green Day, mainly thanks to guitarist and singer Billie Joe Armstrong, seemed very relaxed and natural. Also incredibly, which is the basis of the success of similar bands. They played the songs in the left back, so to speak, and they also entertained themselves and the crowd under the giant stage.

But what unites the two ensembles is their respect for their more famous colleagues, who have led them to what they live and enjoy today. Sum 41 paid tribute to Queen accelerated We Will Rock You, Green Day also remembered them when they used the song Queen Bohemian Rhapsody as an intro. They also thanked The Ramones with the intro from the song Blitzkrieg Bop, quoted a riff from Iron Man by Black Sabbath and praised their German compatriots Kiss with the hit Rock and Roll All Nite.

This year’s 26th edition of the festival has shown that the set course is correct. The organizers eliminated the number of domestic performers to a minimum (after all, we can see them at many other summer events) and bet on discovering interesting bands from abroad. Many of them could hardly be found by the average fan. That is why the main value of Rock for People lies primarily in the enlightenment and broadening of the horizon in the field of modern popular music.
