Green Bay beats Cardinals 34-13; Ravens stop Commanders’ streak

Milwaukee., Romeo Doubs returned from a one-game suspension and caught two of Jordan Love‘s four touchdown passes in the Green Bay Packers’ 34-13 victory over the erratic Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

Doubs scored his first two touchdowns of the season, with a 10-yard reception at the beginning of the second quarter and one more than 20 yards in the third quarter. Doubs, who finished with three catches for 49 yards, sat out the Packers’ 24-19 victory over the Los Angeles Rams for conduct that was detrimental to the team for failing to show up for two practices.

Love also threw touchdown passes of 5 yards to Jayden Reed and 44 yards to Christian Watson, in addition to finishing 22 of 32, completing passes with nine receivers, for 258 yards with one interception. His four touchdown passes tied a career high.

The Packers (4-2) capitalized on a rare lack of discipline by the Cardinals, who had averaged the fewest penalties at 3.8 per game but were penalized 13 times for 100 yards on Sunday. They also had three turnovers.

Arizona (2-4) also suffered several player losses due to injury, the most notable being that of rookie receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., who left with a concussion in the second quarter.

Baltimore stops the Commanders’ winning streak

Lamar Jackson threw for 323 yards with a touchdown pass to outshine rookie Jayden Daniels in an outstanding matchup between two of the best quarterbacks of the season, Derrick Henry ran for two touchdowns and the Baltimore Ravens defeated the Washington Commanders 30-23 on Sunday for their fourth consecutive victory.

Jackson found Mark Andrews for the tight end’s first touchdown of the season and completed nine passes with Zay Flowers for 132 yards — all in the first half. Henry finished with 132 yards and had his eighth and ninth touchdowns, to lead the league, as the Ravens (4-2) mixed their passing and running to perfection.

Daniels connected with Terry McLaurin on two touchdown passes, but didn’t get enough help from his backfield in a matchup between the NFL’s two best rushing offenses. With Brian Robinson Jr. missing due to a knee injury, Washington (4-2) only generated 52 rushing yards.

The Commanders’ defense struggled to stop Jackson and Henry, allowing Baltimore to accumulate 484 yards, and Washington’s winning streak ended at four with a loss to a team that is beginning to look like a legitimate contender to reach the Super Bowl, as noted. I expected.

Henry became the first player to run for a touchdown in each of his first six games since LaDainian Tomlinson in 2005. Andrews tied Todd Heap for the most receptions since the team moved to Baltimore with the 41st of his career.

Mayfield leads Buccaneers’ 51-27 victory over Saints

Baker Mayfield rebounded from three turnovers with a 325-yard, four-pass performance. touchdownand the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the New Orleans Saints 51-27 on Sunday, in what they hope will be a morale boost for their many fans who were punished by Hurricane Milton earlier in the week.

The result ruined his first game as a starter in the NFL of the quarterback rookie Spencer Rattler with New Orleans, which has lost four straight after opening the season with a pair of wins.

Down by three after a wild, high-scoring first half in which Tampa Bay (4-2) blew an early 17-0 lead, the Buccaneers pulled away for good with Chris Godwin’s second score of the game, a 55-yard play in which three Saints players were unable to bring him down.

He safety Zyon McCollum intercepted a Rattler pass with a dunk early in the fourth quarter, giving Tampa Bay a possession that ended with Mayfield’s touchdown pass to tight end Cade Otton on third-and-goal.

The Buccaneers, who fled Milton on Tuesday and practiced all week in New Orleans, ended up racking up all sorts of eye-catching statistics and highlights in the Superdome, which was virtually empty before the game ended. Only a few fans were left happy in Buccaneers colors when Sean Tucker scored for the second time.

The Buccaneers rushed for 277 yards as a team, led by Tucker’s 136 yards and a score. Bucky Irving added 81 yards and a touchdown short.

Rattler, who was intercepted a couple of times, finished 22 of 40 for 243 yards and a score.
