The Prime Minister Kiril Petkov will hold a meeting tomorrow, December 20, with the Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who will be on his first visit to Bulgaria at the invitation of his Bulgarian counterpart, the Council of Ministers announced.
In the Council of Ministers, the two heads of government will hold a private conversation, followed by a plenary session of the two delegations.
The focus of the meeting between the two prime ministers will be the excellent bilateral relations and the opportunities for their even more active development. Regional topics of common interest will also be discussed, as well as current issues on the European agenda.
The two prime ministers, who graduated from the elite American Harvard University, are expected to emphasize the acceleration of the construction of the Bulgarian-Greek gas connection, through which our country should receive Azeri gas. The accession of Northern Macedonia to the EU and the veto imposed by Bulgaria are also expected to be among the topics of discussion.
The Bulgarian delegation includes Deputy Prime Minister for EU Funds and Minister of Finance Asen Vassilev, Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodora Genchovska and Head of the Political Cabinet of Prime Minister Lena Borislavova.
