Greek police found Picasso’s painting / Day stolen nine years ago

Picasso’s work was found together with a damaged painting by the Dutch painter Pete Mondrian, about 50 kilometers from Athens.

A 49-year-old man has been charged with theft.

Police resumed the investigation last February when experts concluded that Woman’s head nor has it appeared on the black market and accordingly left Greece.

The value of the painting was estimated at 16.5 million euros.

The painting is of particular importance to Greece, as Picasso personally presented it to the country in recognition of its resistance to the Nazis during World War II.
