Highways in Greece will be free of tolls during the week of the country’s vote, Kathimerini announced.

The decision takes effect from May 20.

The free pass starts at midnight.

It will last until the morning of May twenty-second. Cars and two-wheelers will pass freely from to the front and side checkpoints.

This applies to all major highways in the country. The government approved the decision.

The idea is to make it easier to navigate and vote. A good turnout is expected.

It is important that people who travel on voting days can quickly return to their places of birth to vote.
