Greek Authorities Seize Property of Former “Lukoil” Boss: MEDIAMALL Reports

FACTS publicizes journalistic investigations by various media because it supports freedom of speech.

The Greek authorities, in the person of the state’s tax services, have seized the properties of the former boss of “Lukoil” – Bulgaria, Valentin Zlatev. This is what MEDIAMALL learned from its perfect sources from the State Economic Service of our southern neighbor.

Zlatev’s emblematic house in the resort complex “Sani”, located on the first arm of the Halkidiki peninsula, has been seized for unpaid taxes in the amount of 400 thousand euros. The reason why Valentin Zlatev did not pay the amount in question is still not clear, and most likely it is hardly a question of lack of cash on the part of the former boss of “Lukoil”-Bulgaria. The official valuation of the property in question is EUR 2.2 million, and Zlatev has owned the house for more than 15 years. Everyone in the “Sani” complex, for example, has known Valentin Zlatev personally for a long time, as until recently his boat was the most recognizable in the Barovo marina near the complex.

According to our sources, the reason for the seizure in question is much more serious than the simple lack of funds, and our agents assume that what is happening has a direct connection with many of the processes in Bulgaria and around the world, from the last few years. They emphasize that other prominent figures from the management of “Lukoil” – Bulgaria also have their own properties in Northern Greece, however, until now, it is not known that any foreclosures or other type of sanctions have been imposed on them.
