If you have downloaded Greedfall from PlayStation Plus, you will not receive the free upgrade to the new version. The news was confirmed by the studio responsible for the game – this is quite a surprising situation, considering that the developers had not mentioned it before.

Last week, we got a preview of the Greedfall Gold Edition, and today the production is available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S. The title offers players gameplay in resolutions up to 4K with 60 frames per second (in performance mode), improved binding and shorter loading screens.
Developers last week confirmed that the patch will be free, but as it turns out – not for everyone. If you’ve downloaded Greedfall from PS Plus, you can’t count on a free update. The developers confirmed the situation on Twitter:
We saw a similar situation with Final Fantasy VII Remake, which hit PlayStation 5, but the new release was not available to owners of the game with PlayStation Plus.
It is worth recalling that the authors of Greedfall have also prepared a fictional expansion for EUR 6.99, which allows interested parties to visit the new region. Currently, the studio has not confirmed whether it intends to develop this IP and will offer players a continuation.
