Greece Ready to Transfer Patriot PAC-3 System to Ukraine in Exchange for Compensation and Non-Aggression Promises

Greece is ready to transfer its Patriot PAC-3 system to Ukraine if it receives compensation and promises of non-aggression with Turkey from the United States.

It was announced yesterday that NATO countries and the EU are putting pressure on Spain and Greece, demanding that they share their air defense systems with Ukraine. The main reason: these countries do not need systems now, and Ukraine needs to close its skies from the Russian Federation.

The day before the Greek edition Seals. Gr reported that Athens was ready to make a treaty.

Today, Greece has up to 6 Patriot bases, so one of them can be moved to Kyiv.

The source writes that it seems that Washington gave permission to give guarantees to Athens for the whole period while they are without a single installation. However, it is not yet known what the words “security guarantee” mean.

It is also possible that the United States will move its Patriot installation to Greece or provide compensation from the aid that legislators voted for Ukraine.

Washington did almost the same thing in the case of Saudi Arabia.

Kyiv will receive one of two centers, located in Athens. Greece moved another installation to Saudi Arabia.

Ukraine should acquire a system with PAC-2GEM missiles capable of shooting down ballistics.

The maximum target destruction range is 150 km, and the radar detection range is 170 km.

The building houses an information and coordination center, a radar, an interaction control station and a launch station.

The complex can hit 9 air targets at the same time, including ballistics.

It also became known that Sweden is ready to transfer one Patriot installation to Ukraine.

Swedish Defense Minister Paul Johnson admitted that Stockholm could transfer the Patriot air defense system to Ukraine, and the head of the Latvian Ministry of Defense Spruds announced his readiness to transfer short-range air defense to Kyiv.

Earlier, the Western media named two EU countries that could provide additional air defense systems to Kyiv.

Let’s remember that Denmark announced that it was willing to transfer the promised 19 F-16 fighters to Ukraine.
