Winners look different! The hotel heir Johannes tries in vain to meet the demands of his domineering mother, his enterprising father and his self-confident fiancee. Labeled as a failure and avoiding conflict to the point of self-abandonment, he is more like a beaten dog than a successful person. The moving story “Greece or the Running Chicken” can be seen in the CINEWORLD Mainfrankenpark film café on Thursday, August 17th.
It starts at 3 p.m. with delicious specialties from the cake and torte manufacturer “Tortenglück” from Westheim. The cinema team also serves aromatic coffee. The film starts at 4 p.m.
Johannes experiences a shock when a will is sent to him by post from Greece. Now he finally finds out what everyone knows and has so far kept from him: he is the ‘result’ of his mother’s holiday flirtation and his supposed father is ‘only’ his mother’s husband.
He rushes to his biological father’s adopted country and ends up quite lost on a small Cyclades island. His trusting nature makes him a pawn in the intrigues over his inheritance. Ilias, taxi driver, mayor and notary in personal union, tells him the blue of the Greek sky and his opponent, the beautiful Rina, also entangles him in a finely spun web of lies and deceptive manoeuvres. Both are only concerned with his father’s property, which his stepfather, who has meanwhile arrived, also wants to get his hands on. Johannes ́ mother and his fiancée are there to tell him what to do and what not to do. But then the unheard of happens: Johannes resists the wishes of those around him. For the first time in his life he has a clear goal. And he is determined to achieve it.
Tickets can be booked online at www.cineworld-main.de but a ticket office is also open in CINEWORLD itself. Current information is available on Facebook and Instagram (@cineworld.mainfrankenpark).
