More than 500 fire constables, around twelve planes and five helicopters have been fighting the fire since Tuesday night.
Greece is currently experiencing the worst heat wave in the country in decades with temperatures up to 45 degrees Celsius.
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis describes the fire as a nightmare.
– We hope to get the fire under control today before the wind picks up again, Mitsotakis says.
Several places have been evacuated, but so far no injuries or deaths have been reported.
