In the heat wave in Greece this week, the temperature has risen to 43 degrees Celsius in some places in the last three days, but meteorologists predict that it could reach 46 degrees over the weekend and next week.

In the cities, air conditioning halls are open to residents who do not have air conditioners at home.
It is not clear at this time how long the heat wave will last. It was previously predicted that the heat wave could last until August 8, but some meteorologists fear that it could last for two weeks.
In 1987, about 4,000 people died in a similar heat wave, when the use of air conditioners was not yet widespread.
