According to the data, a new rise in 3,4% noted the inflation in Greece in March from 3.1% in February. At the same time, according to Eurostat data – on a monthly basis – there was an increase of 1.8%, which shows the increasing trend that exists.

At the same time, inflation in Eurozone formed in 2,4% in March from 2.6% in February, moving in the opposite direction to the Greek one, which remains for the 6th consecutive month above the eurozone average.
Also, the Greece recorded the 5th largest price increase, with worse performances coming from Croatia, Austria, Estonia and Belgium. Despite the relative further slowdown in food, alcohol and tobacco prices, their growth rate in Greece (4.8% in March from 5.8% in February) is almost twice that of the Eurozone, where it decreased to 2.7 % from 3.9% in February.
In addition, prices for industrial goods “ran” at a rate of 3.4% from 3% a month ago, while services at 3.9% from 3.5% in February.
Fall in Germany, France and Italy
Inflation fell more than analysts had expected Germany last month. In particular, inflation in Germany fell to 2.3% in March from 2.7% in February.
At the same time, inflation fell below 3% in France, for the first time in 2.5 years. The consumer price index ran with 2,4% compared to the corresponding month last year, from 3.2% in February.
In Italy, inflation had already fallen below 2% in October. Its new data showed an acceleration to 1.3% from 0.8% in February, but below estimates for 1.5%.
