Greece imposes new restrictions on Covid-19 unvaccinated and ends free testing / Article

In Greece, new restrictions have been imposed on people who have not been vaccinated against Covid-19. At the same time, people are denied free coronavirus testing.

Under the new rules, cafes, restaurants, clubs and sports facilities will only be open to Covid-19 vaccinees or residents with immunity certificates. Cinemas, theaters, museums and fitness centers will also be open to the unvaccinated if they can present a negative test result within 48 hours.

From 13 September, private and public sector employees will have to take tests once or twice a week at their own expense, depending on the profession, and university students will also have to pay for two quick tests a week.

However, free tests will still be available to students and public officials who have been vaccinated or show signs of infection.

Quick tests will cost 10 euros in the future.
