From this Wednesday, January 18 and until Sunday, January 22, the Avignon Equestrian Festival welcomes lovers of horses and equestrian shows, at the Parc des expositions, chemin des Félons, in Avignon, for the 37th edition of Cheval passion. As always, the highlight was the Golden Manes gala.
A thousand horses and breeding shows, a show with 250 exhibitors and all new equipment for horse and rider, numerous competitions, sorting of cattle, working equitation, western, equestrian shows and a new horse challenge -ball! 90,000 visitors are expected at the Parc des expositions, chemin des Félons in Avignon, from 18 to 22 January.
The Golden Manes gala, accessible to lovers of beautiful shows as well as connoisseurs of the equestrian arts, is considered to be the first show of equestrian creation in Europe. The 2023 Golden Manes are no exception to the rule and put confirmed talents and new nuggets in the spotlight! From Spain, with Andalusian horses from the royal stables of Cordoba, to Italy, with dressage masters Gianluca and Sofia Baiola, via Belgium and the fascinating artist and behavioral psychologist, Delphine Boonkens, equestrian Europe is united in Avignon. The virtuoso stuntmen, Jérôme Sefer and Kevin Ferreira, the Nagaïka Tribe troupe, 100% female aerobatics, without forgetting the young talents: the Gardois de Quissac, Marie Barcelo and Pierre-Antoine Chastang, in an original composition and the Cie La Caresse horses with Lysiane Moerschel.
