French National managed a big 4-1 win against Australia in the Group D match World Cup 2022.
France faced Australia in their inaugural Group D match which took place at Al Janoub Stadium, Al Wakrah on Wednesday (23/11) early morning WIB.
From the start of the match France was able to dominate the game. However, Les Bleus had to go behind in the ninth minute thanks to Craig Goodwin’s goal from a pass from Mathew Leckie. Australia won 1-0 over France.
France tried to increase the intensity of the attack. As a result, Les Bleus managed to score an equalizer in the 27th minute thanks to a goal from Adrien Rabiot. France 1-1 Australia.
Five minutes later France managed to increase the score through Olivier Giroud.
Giroud managed to flick the ball into the empty Australian goal after receiving a pass from Rabiot after successfully stripping the ball off the feet of an opponent who made a mistake while building up.
France came close to taking the lead in the 42nd minute after Antoine Griezmann’s powerful shot narrowly missed the right side of the Australian post.
Two minutes later, France were also able to threaten the Australian goal with Mbappé’s hard shot, which nevertheless slipped slightly over the bar for Les Bleus.
Then, three minutes later, French midfielder Jackson Irvine also nearly found the net after his header just hit the post.
Until the end of the match there were no additional goals that could be created by either team. France won 2-1 against Australia in the first round of the 2022 World Cup.
In the second half, France has not relaxed its attacks. Repeated pressure finally allowed France to extend their lead in the 67th minute through Kylian Mbappé’s goal.
Continuing Dembele’s pass from the right, Mbappé managed to maximize it with a header that became a goal. France won 3-1 against Australia.
France managed to extend their lead in the 72nd minute thanks to a goal from Olivier Giroud. This time Giroud headed in from a pass from Mbappé.
Les Bleus managed to threaten the Australian goal several times, but none of them scored. France also closed out the game with a 4-1 victory over Australia.
