Yesterday, the Valdelasfuentes Sports City experienced a festive day in which children and adults enjoyed the Great Party ‘Universal Children’s Day’ organized by the Community of Madrid and the Alcobendas City Council.
More than 6,000 people came to enjoy the different attractions, concerts and performances in which the Youth Council, the Council for Children and Adolescents and various local entities such as Apama, the Refugee Reception Center, and Socio-Educational Care Centers also participated. for children Pecera- Akuario, Red Cross, The Snail Movement, Conectea Foundation, Pablo Horstmann Foundation, Manos Unidas, Okemos, Children’s Villages, Unicef Madrid Committee, Vicente Ferrer Foundation, NGO Abenin and Dríades.
The children had a great time in the different workshops on crafts, drawings, board games, pictograms, painting, paper airplanes and cut-outs, among others. And in the numerous sports activities of climbing, skateboarding, calisthenics, acrosport and pickleball.
In addition, the Minister of Family, Youth and Social Affairs of the Community of Madrid, Ana Dávila-Ponce de León Municio, together with the mayor of Alcobendas, Rocío García Alcántara, presented the ‘Childhood 2023 Awards’ of the Community of Madrid to the choirs from the Tajamar and San Luis de los Franceses schools, to the president of the ANAR Foundation, Silvia Moroder, to Nintendo Ibérica and the Madrid Assembly.
