This Monday, July 27, Ajaccians were invited to go to the Ajaccio market hall and the Carrefour de Finosello to register for the free screening offered by the ARS in partnership with the town hall of Ajaccio and the town of Sarrola -Carcopino. Thus more than 150 people went at midday with the desire to be tested. For those present on this day, the ARS gave a place and a meeting time to carry out the screening.
To ensure the smooth running of today’s action, Marie-Hélène Lecenne, the director of the ARS of Corsica and the mayor of Ajaccio, Laurent Marcangeli had visited the site.
As part of the summer plan to fight the Covid-19 epidemic, the ARS of Corsica is carrying out several proactive actions and offers free screening.
The participation of the population in screening makes it possible to assess the level of circulation of the virus in the territory, to identify, if necessary, positive cases, to trigger the search for contact persons of these positive cases, to alert them in order to better protect them and thus break the chains of transmission of the virus. The ARS thus strongly encourages the local or tourist population to participate in these free screening operations. This is to contribute to the collective effort to contain the spread of the virus in the territories concerned.
Registrations will also be available on Tuesday July 28 at Leclerc Baléone from 11 am to 1 pm. As well as from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Atrium.
Following the high attendance on Monday July 27, an additional registration window will be communicated tomorrow.
This screening is reserved for adults. To register, you must bring your vital card or social security number.
