The 31-year-old from Tromsø achieved a solid financial result in 2021 via her new company Little Daggers Touring AS, whose financial year started at the end of January last year.
Over the next 11 months, the company had sales of more than NOK 11.5 million, the annual accounts show.
Profit before tax landed at 5.25 million.
Dagny, who owns the company alone, took out an extraordinary dividend of 2.9 million.
Furthermore, the company had 1.2 million in equity at the end of 2021. The company has no employees, and had only 1586 kroner in wage costs last year.
– It is fantastic to continue with growth despite a difficult year of pandemic, writes Dagny’s manager and sister Juna Norvoll Sandvik in a text message to VG.
Concerts carry the load
Until 2021, Dagny’s Norwegian business had been planted in a sole proprietorship.
This led to her could not get more than 427,000 in compensation for corona-canceled concerts throughout 2020 – while colleagues of her received multiple millions from the Ministry of Culture’s support schemes.
– Even though I pay all my taxes in Norway, I still have an accountant and “limited company” in the UK, Dagny said about the organization in January 2021.
In the tax lists, Dagny is listed with 2.1 million in taxable income for 2020. In 2019, she had over 3.3 million in income, according to iTromsø.
Dagny’s manager does not want to comment on where the 2021 revenues come from.
In December 2021, however, Dagny was clear that it is concert income that carries the burden for her.
– Fortunately, I have done a lot this year, she said to iTromsø then.
– We got on a corona tour in May, with one week’s notice, and completed a bunch of concerts for a seated audience.
The 15-concert tour was carried out with the help of a grant from the Ministry of Culture’s stimulus scheme to organizer Live Nation, which according to the Norwegian Cultural Council was approx. 5.2 million.
This tour was replaced by a number of festival jobs.
Reigns on radio
Radio success has also done its part for Dagny’s 2021s.
In 2020, her “Somebody” and “Come Over” were the two most played Norwegian songs on Norwegian radio. In total, these had over 13,000 plays at the country’s radio stations that year.
The settlement for these from the remuneration agency Gramo was paid out in the spring of 2021, VG is informed by the agency.
