At 07.22, 110 Vest reports that the fire is under control. Extinction is in progress.
At 07.08 on Saturday morning, the West police district announced on Twitter that there were no longer open flames, but heat in construction that the fire service is working on.
Operations manager in the West police district, Eivind Hellesund, says that as of 07.00 there is talk of a fire in one house. There is a risk of spreading.
– No one is missing, says Hellesund to VG at 07:00.
The fire must be in Marken, where there is a dense settlement of wooden houses.
There are 11 people who have been evacuated from the home and neighboring houses. These have been given temporary shelter at Godt brød bakery, and the municipality is taking over responsibility for them, says the operations manager.
– We don’t have a complete overview, but there will be a fire in a home. We are trying to get an overview of residents. We have no information that anyone has been injured, says operations manager Jørgen Ommedal in the West police district Bergens Tidende.
– We have started extinguishing. This is in the middle of a wooden housing development where it is dense, so there is a great risk of spreading. We are there with four stations, says duty commander Tore Fanebust at NTB’s 110 switchboard.
– Heavy smoke is coming from the third floor of a building. The residents there say that everyone should be out of the floor on which there is a fire, he says.
Hellesund says that they received a report about the fire at 06:29.
