Great National Theater | Peruvian Sign Language: the first inclusive concert for people with deafness and low hearing is announced at the Gran Teatro Nacional | dates and times | Mincul | rmmn | LIME

The Ministry of Culture, through the Grand National Theater (GTN), presented the first inclusive project of musical experiences for people with deafness, hearing loss and low hearing through interpretation in Peruvian Sign Language (LSP).

The activity has been scheduled for the ‘Café Concert’ with the singer Daniela Prado, on June 20 at 7:00 pm, in the GTN foyer.

The artist and participant of the co-creation team will perform an accessible and inclusive concert in which, using the interpretation in Peruvian Sign Language (LSP) and, a series of scenic tools, will generate experiences designed especially for the deaf community in the country.

This initiative was born in the Laboratory for the co-creation of inclusive musical experiences of the Gran Teatro Nacional, which proposes new practices and sensations so that people with and without disabilities can enjoy music together and the emotions it generates.

This laboratory has the purpose of mainly promoting the access and participation of people with deafness, hearing loss and low hearing in the artistic-cultural services offered by the Great National Theater.

It should be noted that the artistic activity will be enjoyed for free in all regions of Peru and around the world on Facebook Live and www.cultura24.tvweb channel of the Ministry of Culture of Peru.

Artistic activity will feature interpreters in Peruvian sign language and will take place during the Café Concierto with singer Daniela Prado in the GTN foyer.

“GTN No limits” is a program of the Audience area of ​​the Great National Theater that seeks to promote awareness and incorporation of the approach of accessibility and inclusion of people with disabilities in the scenic experiences offered by the Great National Theater of the Ministry of Culture.

The laboratory will implement three inclusive concerts during the year 2022, which will take place within the framework of the Café Concierto cycle. They will incorporate accessibility tools with which, through simultaneous interpretation in Peruvian sign language and in conjunction with theatrical tools, the participation of the deaf community in musical experiences is promoted.
