Chinese car manufacturers do not want to lose to compete in the country’s automotive market. This was proven by Wuling by directly giving the opportunity for the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves), General TNI (Ret.) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan to test their electric car.
In an official broadcast received by detikOto, three ministers of President Joko Widodo paid a visit to the Wuling Motors (Wuling) factory located in Cikarang, West Java, today, Thursday (30/9). The three ministers are the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves), General TNI (Ret.) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, MPA; Minister of Transportation (Menhub), Ir. Budi Karya Sumadi; and the Minister of Health (Menkes), Budi Gunadi Sadikin.
It was explained that the arrival of the Ministers to the Wuling manufacturing facility was held in order to support Wuling to jointly enter the era of electrification of electric vehicles in the country.
The three ministers were welcomed by the President Director of Wuling Motors, Shi Guoyong and Vice President of Wuling Motors, Arif Pramadana, to then see firsthand the vehicle production process at the Wuling factory that implemented the Global Manufacturing System (GMS).

“The realization of Wuling’s investment in Indonesia starts with the construction of production facilities and supplier parks with global quality standards. Then, Wuling has so far presented quality product lines in the Indonesian automotive market, even becoming an export commodity. In addition, during the pandemic, Wuling has also implemented protocols strict health care in the manufacturing process so that the health of employees is always maintained,” said Shi Guoyong.
On this occasion, Wuling immediately showed off his teeth by showing the advantages of their electric car to Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan. Luhut immediately tested the mini EVs that are Wuling’s mainstay, namely the Wuling E100 and Wuling Mini EVs.
