Auser and CGIL mourn the death of Carla Iori, former trade unionist and president of Auser. Iori lived in Albinea and died on Sunday at the age of 76. In the 1970s she worked at the mental hygiene center in Correggio as a psychiatric nurse. After her experience as a union delegate in the same centre, in 1976 she joined the Federbraccianti and in 1982 the textile-clothing union; from 1989 to 1992 he was part of the secretariat of the CGIL of Reggio. As provincial secretary, she directed the public function category, dealing with local authorities in the years of approval of the Bassanini law. Upon retirement in 2003, she worked for Auser of which she became manager. It has always worked against the isolation of elderly and frail people, taking on a fundamental coordination role. Formerly Auser provincial director, Carla became municipal president of the Auser of Reggio. “Today we are losing a great friend, woman and volunteer: Carla has always dedicated herself to the defense and support of people with difficulties” they say from Auser. The funeral will take place tomorrow starting at 9am from the funeral home of the Green Cross for the new Coviolo cemetery. The 76-year-old leaves behind her husband Raffaele (Glauco), her daughter Marzia, her brother Marco.
