The championship race is more exciting this season than it has been in years. While two or three teams clearly set themselves apart in previous seasons, this year almost a third of all clubs are in a neck-and-neck race.
Dylan Bamarni, the coach of the current front runners FC Heitersheim, sees the close competition as evidence of the high level of performance in the league. “The intervals were longer last year,” he recalls. “Essentially it was about Mundingen, Emmendingen and us. Due to the quality that Wolfenweiler-Schallstadt and Solvay Freiburg have won, things will be different this time.
