Great dissatisfaction in Manchester United’s women’s team – lacks a coach

Manchester United’s women’s players are preparing to turn to PFA (Professional Footballers ‘Association) – the professional footballers’ union in England and Wales – for advice and support. This is because they want to see an improvement in how the club relates to its women’s team.

According to The Athletic are the players above all frustrated that the club failed to get a new coach in place to replace Casey Stoney. It has now been almost three months since the coach resigned – and preparations for a new season are underway – and the management has not yet replaced her.

After three years as coach, Casey Stoney left the team on his own initiative in mid-May. It was reported that the 38-year-old resigned after failing to qualify the club for the Champions League next season – but it must be a truth with modification.

Among other things, Stoney must have been dissatisfied with the lack of support and facilities in the club offered to the women’s team. But also on the lack of ambitions for next season that should not be high enough.

A dissatisfaction that the players, according to The Athletic, will share. The club’s lack of commitment to the women’s team at Manchester United should be a major issue.

The squad has weakened considerably after five players left the club this summer. The Athletic also states that star Lauren James is keen to move to English rival Chelsea.

It remains to be seen if the players in Manchester United go further with their dissatisfaction and get help from PFA.
