Great day for Colombian democracy in South Florida

The celebration for democracy in Colombia will take place between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm. According to what was announced, the participation of representatives of the Colombian, Cuban, Venezuelan and Nicaraguan communities, among others, is expected.

The meeting points of the parades in vehicles will be available from 1:00 pm in the following places:

  • Crandon Park, Key Biscayne

The organizers invited people who wish to join this day for democracy to wear clothes alluding to Colombia and carry banners or other elements to express their feelings for the coffee nation.

Organizations such as the Colombian American People Action Committee (CAPAC), the Independent Venezuelan American Citizens (IVAC), Colombia Speaks, the Assembly of the Cuban Resistance (ARC) and the Cuban Democratic Directorate ( CDD), among others.

Colombian activist Fabio Andrade, one of the organizers of the event, said that “this is a call for us to support our country in the face of the danger that a candidate like Gustavo Petro represents.”

Likewise, Andrade called on the Colombian community to vote in advance at the different authorized points in South Florida, between May 23 and 29.

“The best option, without a doubt, is Federico ‘Fico’ Gutiérrez, who represents the values ​​that unite us as Colombians,” he stressed.
