Great danger comes from Africa! Crazy weather in April

“Due to the expected strong gusts of wind, there is a high risk of material damage in northeastern Bulgaria. Strong winds are expected in northwestern Bulgaria and mountainous areas. We advise you to pay attention to loose objects in homes and yards,” warned Meteo Balkans.

The day of the joke will start with variable clouds. In the afternoon over Western Bulgaria and the mountainous regions will develop cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds. In some places, mainly in the western and northwestern half of the country, it will rain and thunder. Over the rest of Bulgaria the weather will be mostly cloudy and windy.

However, the minimum temperatures will remain without significant change and will be between 10 – 14 ° С. We expect it to be a bit cooler in the region of Vidin and Southwestern Bulgaria – up to 10-12 ° С.

The expected maximum temperatures will be between 19-26 ° С. They will be highest in Central Bulgaria and the region of Ruse – up to 24-26 ° C, and slightly cooler in southwestern Bulgaria and areas with afternoon rainfall, according to Meteo Balkans.

Monthly forecast for April

This year, April is marked by unusually high temperatures and the tendency of the expected average monthly temperature in our country to remain around the climatic norm, although we will meet the month with rainfall and colder weather.

The average temperature in April will be around and above the norm, which is between 11 and 15 degrees in most areas, 9-11 degrees along the Black Sea coast and between -5 and 4 degrees in the mountains.

The average monthly amount of precipitation for the country will be around and below the norm, which for the plains is between 30 and 75 liters per square meter, and in mountainous areas – between 60 and 100 liters per square meter.

Over the next three days, the weather in the Balkans will be determined by a strong Mediterranean cyclone positioned over Italy and the Ionian Sea. Due to the warm weather, the expected precipitation on the peninsula will be accompanied by thunder. Southwestern transport remains and the concentration of dust from the Sahara will be high. It is possible that the precipitation will be colored orange.
