British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has said the UK is not ready to comply with European Union laws, as part of its relationship with the bloc after Brexit.
This came after it was reported that Sunak’s government is open to relations with the European Union, similar to Switzerland.
“Under my leadership, the UK will not seek to adopt any relationship with Europe that depends on compliance with European Union laws,” Sunak said, quoted by Bloomberg news agency, at the Confederation’s annual conference of British Industry held yesterday in Birmingham.
