18 days in a coma
When they arrived, paramedics discovered that the patient was in critical condition. She was then rushed to hospital and, faced with the violence of the symptoms, she was placed in a coma. For 18 days, doctors will do everything to save her, including having to manage several cardiac arrests and the deterioration of other organs due to sepsis.
Eventually, the disease will end up causing irreversible damage to the legs, forcing the doctors to carry out a double amputation to save their patient.

Finally, this amputation will stem the infection and after months of intensive care, the teacher was able to leave intensive care. But her fight does not stop there since she now has to relearn how to live and begins a long process of rehabilitation.
His family has decided to open an online kitty to finance the purchase of prostheses that will allow their loved one to walk again. Nearly 100,000 euros have already been raised. In addition to the two amputated legs, the teacher must also benefit from care at the level of the hands which were also damaged by the infection.
