Great Britain. Gen. Nick Carter on the risk of World War III

Gen. Carter stated that an escalation of regional tensions and errors of judgment could eventually lead to greater conflict. When asked if this meant there was a real threat of another world war, Carter replied, “I say there is such a risk and we must be aware of it.”

The military added that it is important to remember those who have died in previous wars and that this serves as a warning to those who may repeat mistakes from the past.

“If you forget the horrors of war, I think there is a risk that people may think it is wise to go to war,” warned the general.
