Basketball agent Artūrs Kalnītis writes on Twitter that the 28-year-old Gražulis has signed an agreement with the ULEB Eurocausal team for the next two seasons.
For the previous two seasons, Gražulis played for another Italian team in Trieste’s “Allianz”, but before that he played for the second division of Tortona’s Bertram. In the last two seasons of the A-Series Italian Cup, the woodcocker has taken part in a total of 66 matches, scoring 9.3 points, beating 5.7 rebounds, realizing 58% of the two-point throw and 36% of the long throw.
Gražulis forged the skills of a basketball player in Ventspils, defending the colors of the city until 2017 and then moving to the Perm “Parma” club in Russia and “VEF Rīga”.
In July 2019, he signed a contract with Torton’s Bertram and in the first season in Italy averaged 16.8 points per game and won 8.3 rebounds with 57% two-point shots, 45% three-point shots and 76% free throws. Gražulis finished the season as the second best three-point thrower in the second league of Italian basketball A2.
Last season, the Trento team took 13th place in the A-series or four positions below the Trieste team, both of which did not enter the playoffs. At the ULEB Eurocupus, Trento basketball players won only one of 16 games in the first stage of the main event and did not reach the second stage, but will also start in this tournament next season.
