In the 10th round of the Central regional league Graz United was able to secure a confident away win against SV Lassnitzhöhe drive in. The guests won 3-1 after being 2-0 up at half-time. Despite a committed performance from SV Lassnitzhöhewho scored a goal in the second half, Graz United’s superiority was clear. The guests were more efficient in front of goal and secured important points.

Graz United started the game with concentration and put the hosts under pressure from the start. They managed to take the lead through Fatlum Jakupi in the 14th minute. A precise shot from Jakupi gave the Lassnitzhöhe goalkeeper no chance and made it 1-0 for the guests. Lassnitzhöhe tried to react quickly and created a good opportunity in the 25th minute when a shot hit the crossbar. But the efforts remained unrewarded for the time being.
Graz United’s pressure paid off again in the 40th minute when Ardian Bajrami increased the score to 2-0. After a quick attack, he found the gap in the hosts’ defense and netted safely. Lassnitzhöhe fought its way back into the game and was unlucky in the 28th minute when a corner hit the bar. A long-range shot from Hoti in the 36th minute was also blocked by the Graz United defense.

In the second half, Lassnitzhöhe started with new energy and tried to turn the game around. In the 57th minute they were rewarded for their efforts. After a corner from Hoti, Oliver Liebmann headed the ball into the net and reduced the score to 1:2. The hosts gained new hope and continued to push for an equalizer.
However, Graz United did not allow themselves to be deterred and defended with concentration. In the 74th minute, the guests were awarded a penalty, which Ronal Ramirez Santos confidently converted in the 75th minute. Graz United thus restored their old two-goal lead and secured the preliminary decision. Lassnitzhöhe continued to try, but Graz United’s defense stood firm and didn’t allow any further goals.
With the 3-1 win, Graz United got its first win of the season. SV Lassnitzhöhe, on the other hand, has to concentrate on the next games in order to get back to winning ways.
