Since Tuesday evening, the Styrian landmark has been shining in blue, red and white – the official colors of the professional championships starting today with the opening ceremony at the Messe Congress Graz EuroSkills 2021. “With this, we as the City of Graz want to warmly welcome the participants and their teams,” emphasized Mayor Siegfried Nagl. In addition, the “Skills-Look” clock tower should be a sign that can be seen from afar how happy the “City of Skills” is to host this European Championship. The Styrian landmark will therefore shine in the EuroSkills colors every night until the final event on September 26th.
„Positiver Spirit“
Much to the delight of EuroSkills initiator and WKO Styria President Josef Herk: “It’s finally starting and I would not have dreamed of a nicer welcome sign. So I would be all the more pleased to welcome many Graz residents to the competition area at the Schwarzl Leisure Center. Because the atmosphere at such a professional EM is comparable to that in a football stadium: There is cheering and cheering, the individual participants are celebrated like sports stars. A positive spirit that we urgently need, “said Herk. By the way, visiting the competition days is free, tickets are available at www.tickets.euroskills2021.com.
