The Latvian duo, which was placed with the fourth number in the competition, lost to the German athletes Karl Borgere / Jūlija Zūdas (12th) in the bronze final with the result 1-2 (21:14, 17:21, 8:15).
At the beginning of the first set, the fight went point by point until Graudiņa with the game in the block reached a plus two (6: 4), but later Kravčenoka hit the ball into the net and the Latvians made a mistake in receiving the service – 8: 7 in favor of the opponents. The Latvian duo played and Graudiņa again played successfully in the block (11: 9), but later Kravčenoka reached with a successful attack already at 13:10.
Graudiņa, who hit the ball close to the final line, gained a four-point lead for Latvia – 16:12. In the remaining games of Seta, the opponents could no longer break the course of the fight and Graudiņa / Kravčenoka won a relatively certain victory with 21:14.
Also in the introduction of the second set, the Latvian duo quickly gained a two-point advantage (4: 2), with Kravčenoka standing out with a shortened attack blow. Later, another block of Grain already gave plus three points (6: 3). Next, Graudiņa / Kravčenoka’s advantage remained in the range of 1-3 points until the balls hit in the middle of the set allowed the Germans to equalize the result and take the lead (14:13).
After the break, the opponents already had a two-point advantage, but in the next two games the Latvians won and the result became a draw again (15:15). Several mistakes and the ball knocked out in the field gave the Germans a four-point advantage (19:15), but later the victory with 21:17.
At the beginning of the third set, the opponents attacked more successfully, who quickly gained a two-point lead (3: 1), but later they took advantage of the mistakes of the Latvian duo and reached 7: 2. In the continuation of the third set, Graudiņa / Kravčenoka failed to show fierce resistance to Borgere / Zūda, who won with 15: 8.
Before that, in the semi-finals, the Latvians with 1-2 (15:21, 21:15, 11:15) failed against the Netherlands over Katja Stam / Raisa Shon (15th), but the Germans did not realize three match balls and with the result 1-2 (9: 21, 24:22, 14:16) lost the Swiss numbered Nina Becart and Tanja Hübler with the third number.
On Friday, Aleksandrs Samoilovs / Jānis Šmēdiņš and Mārtiņš Pļaviņš / Edgars Točs took the ninth place in the men’s competition.
The previous European Championship took place on Majori beach, but due to floods caused by strong winds, several games were held in Mārupe region. In the September 2020 home tournament, Latvia was represented by eight teams, including Graudiņa / Kravčenoka, Samoilovs / Šmēdiņš and Pļaviņš / Točs, with these three Latvian duos stopping in the eighth final.

The Norwegian Annešs Mūls and Kristians Sērums, as well as the Swiss Joan Heidrich and Anuka Verge-Depre celebrated the victory in the 2020 European Championship in Jūrmala.
The 2021 European Championships in Vienna will take place from 15 to 15 August and will be the first major tournament next week after the Tokyo Olympics.
