The Kader Bangsa Association collaborated with Akar Rumput Strategic Consulting (ARSC) to do this Presidential Candidates (Candidates) electability survey for 2024. How is the result?
The survey was held from April 26 to May 8, 2021 via telephone interview. A total of 1,200 respondents were randomly selected in 34 provinces. Margin of error the survey was roughly 2.9 percent.
ARSC researcher Bagus Balghi explains briefly about this survey. He said the survey showed the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan became the presidential candidate with the highest electability followed by the Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto in second place and the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo in third position.
“However, the public has also shown their resistance to Prabowo Subianto and Anies Baswedan. The two names are the highest and are not expected to become president in 2024 (high level of resistance),” said Bagus.
Bagus conveyed that the respondents who chose these names said that their performance in their current positions had been proven, experienced, and was considered clean or honest. There are at least five major issues that are expected to be the priority programs of the 2024 presidential candidates.
“The big five public issues that became concern for voters with the hope that it will become a priority program for the next president in 2024, which is related to the availability of jobs, access and educational facilities, economic inequality, eradicating corruption and health insurance, “he explained.
Respondents in this survey were asked the question ‘If the presidential election was held at this time, from the following names, who would you elect to be President of the Republic of Indonesia?’. Here is the answer.
