The game was as one-sided as the result suggests. The Grasshoppers were superior to their opponent. After 17 minutes, Luan Misini’s team led 3-0 after goals from Daniel Steiger, Simon Laubscher and Moritz Wenk. Only Florian Wenk scored in the second third. Winterhurer never had access to the game, even if they scored three more times in the final third. With four points, Laubscher was instrumental in the fourth cup victory of the qualifying winner. With this, the people of Zurich win the second cup final derby after 2017. After the 8:7 back then, it was rich in goals again, but much less dramatic.
