Grasshopper Club Zurich bids farewell to Snagbin Jeong

Grasshopper Club Zurich and Wolverhampton Wanderers have agreed to terminate Sangbin Jeong’s loan with immediate effect. The 20-year-old South Korean striker, who was rarely played in Zurich, returns to Wolverhampton and prepares for the next step in his career.

Jeong joined Grasshopper Club Zurich on loan in January 2022. During his time in Limmatstadt, the young offensive player made 15 appearances for the first team. In addition, the South Korean played four games for the U21s and scored two goals. Now he is leaving Grasshopper Club Zurich to return to his original club and prepare for the next challenge.

“We thank Sangbin for his commitment to GC Zurich. Despite his young age and the challenge of finding your way around in a foreign environment for the first time, he has always shown great motivation and highly professional behavior. We wish him all the best for the next step in his career,” said sporting director Bernt Haas.
