Nvidia is preparing a refreshment of GeForce RTX 3000 Ampere graphics for 2022. At least four improved models will be added to the current offer, three of them in January.
A few days ago we had news about the arrival of new graphics Nvidia and AMD, now there is another batch. Nvidia seems to be serious about postponing the release of the new GeForce graphics now, as information about the end of the NDA and the release / release dates of the new high-performance GeForce RTX 3070 Ti (16 GB) and GeForce RTX 3090 Ti have begun to leak. This means that the release plan has definitely been put into operation and you can already count on these innovations.
It seems that next month at the beginning of the new year, Nvidia will release a total of three new desktop graphics cards, or will start selling them at this time: GeForce RTX 3050, GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 16GB and GeForce RTX 3090 Ti.
GeForce RTX 3050
If we take it from the cheaper ones, the GeForce RTX 3050 will start selling on January 27, which will be a cheaper card with a GA106 chip cut to a 128-bit bus and equipped with 8GB of GDDR6 memory. It should probably be the cheapest Nvidia card with raytracing support, but in today’s conditions, of course, it is necessary to expect that real prices will be as inflated as other models.

The VideoCardz website has already confirmed that the date 27. 1. 2022, o which we recently informed, already marks the beginning of the sale of this graphic in stores. Its unveiling will take place earlier, on January 4 at CES 2022.
GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 16GB
The second graphic could be such a complement to the offer. Nvidia has released the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti in the summer (this is a fully active version of the GA104 GPU with 6144 shaders and GDDR6X memory), but someone may have been disappointed that the card still had only 8GB of memory capacity. In January, however, its version with 16GB of memory will be released, which is actually the highest capacity in the Ampere generation, if we omit the RTX 3090. Nvidia could theoretically change other parameters, the specifications have not yet escaped directly.

This graphic will be officially unveiled in a week, allegedly on December 17. But it will only be a paper premiere, because the sale will also start in January after the new year – it is supposed to be exactly January 11, 2022.

GeForce RTX 3090 Ti
The third card will be the opposite of the first: the RTX 3090 will be the most powerful raytracing gafika yet, Nvidia is made. According to the leaked specifications, it has a fully active GA102 GPU (GA102-350) with 10,752 shaders and 24 GP of GDDR6X memory at 21.0 GHz efficiently. This gives a throughput of 1008 GB / s.
The power could be much higher than the RTX 3090, but it’s also rumored to see a big increase in power consumption: while the RTX 3080 has a TDP of 320 W and the RTX 3090 has 350 W, this new GeForce RTX 3090 Ti should have a TDP of 450 W.. This is the reference consumption, so if a non-reference version with overclocking from the factory appears, it could go even higher.
This card will start selling on January 27, 2022, ie on the same day as the RTX 3050. Again, this should be the day of physical availability. We do not yet know if there will be any preliminary disclosure. Probably yes, but it’s hard to say whether it would also happen at CES, or whether Nvidia will announce it next week together with the RTX 3070 Ti card.
RTX 3080 12 GB
To make matters worse, the GeForce RTX 3080, which now carries 10 GB, should get more memory, and there have been doubts from the beginning as to whether it is so good. However, Nvidia is not planning to simply double its capacity to 20 GB, but instead a new variant of the card will be available, which would carry 12 GB of GDDR6X memory. This means that it will have an extended memory bus from 320 bits to 384 bits and thus probably also increased throughput. Therefore, this model will probably be more powerful than the original RTX 3080. And the question is whether, for example, Nvidia will not increase the number of computing units and, perhaps, consumption.
The date of issue for this card has not yet passed and it is therefore possible that it will be released later in the coming months, and not in January with the previous three models.
It looks like with these four new models, Nvidia could have a kind of half-generation refresh offer, which could remain until the arrival of a completely new generation of GeForce RTX 4000 with Lovevelace architecture, which will be at the end of 2022. These cards will probably play a role. , as in 2019, had “Super” cards, issued as a refresh of the Turing generation. In the 3000 generation, the Super designation will not be used, it looks like.
