(CNN) — Grant Imahara, host of Discovery Channel’s “MythBusters” and “White Rabbit Project” on Netflix, passed away, according to a Discovery Channel statement. She was 49 years old.

The presenter was known in Hollywood for his work on electronics and animatronics.
“We are heartbroken after hearing this sad News about Grant. He was an important part of our Discovery family and a truly wonderful man. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, ”said a Discovery statement sent to CNN.
The cause of death was not reported.
Former co-host of “MythBusters” Adam Savage said on Twitter: “I feel a loss. Speechless. I have been part of two great families with Grant Imahara for the past 22 years. Grant was a really brilliant engineer, artist and performer, but also such a generous, calm and gentle PERSON. Working with Grant was a lot of fun. I will miss my friend. “
