Well, just as the first thoughts after you wake up can give you the direction of your actions and emotional state that day and breakfast can influence the culinary menu. So in addition to hydration right after you wake up, coffee or tea if you are used to it, breakfast is important. One of the most popular options is definitely cereal yogurt. Why not with granola?

For several years, it has been in vogue to eat granola with milk, classic yogurt or their vegetable variants. To these can be added fruit or even a little jam.

Well, granola – the mix of cereals and dried fruits can be easily prepared at home. In fact, even large hotels serve customers homemade granola breakfast.

In Italy, I discovered a delicious granola recipe. Balanced in taste and easy to prepare.

What ingredients are needed for homemade granola?

You need primarily oatmeal, preferably organic wholemeal, almonds, dried fruits such as apricots, mangoes, a tablespoon of honey.

Homemade granola – recipe

Ingredient:

  • 150 g organic oatmeal
  • 30 g almonds cut into large pieces
  • 50 grams of dehydrated apricots
  • 30 grams of dehydrated mango
  • 40 grams of large raisins
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Method of preparation:

Put the honey in a saucepan on the stove over low heat and heat for a few seconds. Then mix with organic oatmeal, almonds cut into large pieces, dehydrated apricots, dried mango, raisins. In an oven tray lined with baking paper put the mixture of cereals, almonds and dried fruit. Place in the oven at about 200 degrees for about 15 minutes. Careful, granola should be checked carefully so as not to brown too much. It is ready when the cereals, almonds and dried fruits have become crunchy and have a slight brownish appearance. Remove the tray from the oven and leave to cool. Granola is kept in clean and perfectly dry glass jars. Consume with yogurt, milk, vegetable yogurt, vegetable milk. Especially if you opt for milk or yogurt vegetable variants you can add fresh granola next to it. Good appetite!
