Bogor –
Alfin Alfarizi (14), a Bogor City Middle School student went viral because of his heroic actions, his determination to take to the middle of the road to escape a firefighting unit that was stuck in a traffic jam in Bogor. The grandmother, Sri Sitiswari (66) felt both touched and proud.
Sri admitted that she was shocked and worried when she first heard that grandson number two had gone viral on social media. Because Sri had thought that Alfin went viral because of his naughty behavior.
“At first I didn’t know, Saturday night his brother came home from work, kept saying ‘Eh, Alfin, you’re viral, you’re like that. I’m surprised. I wonder why, I think it’s like nowadays, viral because of school delinquency, right?” said Sri when talking with detikcomMonday (23/1/2023).
But the next day, Sri was filled with pride when she found out that Alfin had gone viral because of his heroic actions.
“Then early in the morning, his sister said again ‘mah, it’s viral, Mah, Alfin, Mah’. So these children really call me mom, right, I’ve been with me since childhood. help the firefighters,” Sri said, stroking the shoulder of Alfin who was sitting beside her proudly.
“Yes, that’s good, that’s his courage. That’s good, but if I’m worried, what’s the name of the parent, I’m afraid of something like that, MasyaAllah, but thank God this is good. I know he’s a child, yes, he’s like this, at school he’s also active in Scouting, I like him,” he added.
Alfin’s heroic action took place last Thursday (19/1/2023). At that time, he was walking home after returning from school at SMPN 7 Kota Bogor.
At the same time, he saw the Ciomas Sector firefighting unit stuck in traffic around the BTM Mall on the way to Simpang Empang, Bogor City. Thanks to their heroic actions, the firefighting unit progressed smoothly until it returned to the Ciomas Sector headquarters.
“The position is heading to Mako from the TKP fire in Gunung Putri which is a junk yard. So right when we arrived at the BTM Mall, there was a severe traffic jam, because it was time to go home from work, yes, but we are required to go home quickly because we have to be on standby,” said Ciomas Deputy Danru Damkar Sector Budi Faturachman contacted detikcom, Monday (23/1/2023).
“I didn’t think it was a brave kid, the car was tight, it was jammed, he was brave enough to open the lane, I salute him too,” he added.
