Grandmother Nanik Suyatni (85) was found dead covered in blood at her home in Jl Mayar, Sukun, Malang city. Nanik would be killed by his adopted son. Rahmat Irwanto or Iwan (40).
Reported by detikJatim, the murder took place on Friday afternoon (11/25). The police investigated the case and determined that Iwan was the culprit.
Police also named Iwan as a suspect. Malang City Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKP chief Bayu Febriyanto said the killing was carried out at the victim’s residence.
“The suspect admitted to committing violence against the victim by hitting and choking her,” Bayu said during an interview with the media crew on Tuesday (11/29/2022).
“The affected person was named as a suspect on Monday (11/28),” Bayu added.
The suspect abused the victim after the victim was asked to go to her relative’s house to ask for money. However, the victim refused the suspect’s request.
While the evidence seized was the clothes the suspect was wearing. The shirt is known to have traces of the victim’s blood.
